Boy Scouts of America Initiative
Based on level of understanding of the requirements, a 9-step process has been developed. This 9-step process will provide a general snapshot of where we are in the process.
At this point in the process, we are determining the personnel to fill the required positions with the BSA.
9-Step Process- Establish contact with BSA (Completed)
- Meet to learn requirements to start a new charter (Completed)
- Establish volunteer base to assist with bring goal to fruition (Completed)
- Meet with BSA representative to educate volunteers on detail related to the goal (Completed)
- Meet to discuss volunteer positions, their responsibilities and choose personnel to fill (1-2 weeks)
- Contact BSA to schedule meeting for Leadership Training (2-4 weeks)
- Attend BSA Leadership Training (2-4 weeks)
- Receive approval from BSA for new charter (4-6 weeks)
- Launch new Boy Scouts Program (6-8 weeks)
Estimated project completion time: 15-24 weeks (4-6 months)
