Boy Scouts of America Initiative

Based on level of understanding of the requirements, a 9-step process has been developed. This 9-step process will provide a general snapshot of where we are in the process.

At this point in the process, we are determining the personnel to fill the required positions with the BSA.

9-Step Process
  • Establish contact with BSA (Completed)
  • Meet to learn requirements to start a new charter (Completed)
  • Establish volunteer base to assist with bring goal to fruition (Completed)
  • Meet with BSA representative to educate volunteers on detail related to the goal (Completed)
  • Meet to discuss volunteer positions, their responsibilities and choose personnel to fill (1-2 weeks)
  • Contact BSA to schedule meeting for Leadership Training (2-4 weeks)
  • Attend BSA Leadership Training (2-4 weeks)
  • Receive approval from BSA for new charter (4-6 weeks)
  • Launch new Boy Scouts Program (6-8 weeks)

Estimated project completion time: 15-24 weeks (4-6 months)
